why is this entire thing funny?

Funny in an ironic sense. Sad for the rhino of course. 

Interesting. I never think of animals and allergies. I guess in their natural life, they don’t expose themselves to much out of the ordinary. We humans put all kinds of things in our bodies so it’s more likely that we notice allergies.
